Summer FUN Convention is this week

BillJonesBillJones Posts: 34,740 ✭✭✭✭✭

I want to remind everyone that the Summer Show is this week, starting on Thursday. There is an early bird program on Wednesday which involves a separate admission.

This show has grown greatly in recent years. If you are a collector who lives in the area, it's well worth your while to attend. Even if you have to drive a distance, this is an excellent show with many buying opportunities and many things to see and do.

I will be speaking at one of the seminars on Thursday at 2:30 PM. My topic will be "Forming a Date Collection of U.S. Cents." I will provide you will some history and tips on forming a collection of cents from 1793 to 2025.

Here is a link to the other seminars:

I hope to see you there!

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

It sounds great and I’m sorry to miss it Bill. Will you be giving your talk at the ANA also?

Sorry, I won't be making it to the ANA. FUN does film these presentations, however. You will be able to see it on the Internet soon after I give it.

I won't be showing pictures of every coin. Given that a complete set requires at least 232 cents, it's been a challenge to decide what coins to include and which ones to leave out. It will mainly be tips on forming the collection. The early dates will get a fair amount of time, but I will cover everything up to the modernn "Union Shield Cents."

I will try to make it to your talk at least. Sounds great! Thank you for your efforts!

One year the members of another forum got a group together at the bar. Do CU members do the same?

Suggest a time and place, and will try to make it. I will be at the Rosen Plaza.
