A Little "Guess the CAC" Game - REVEALED

I recently sent in some (a?) MS67 Walker(s) to CAC. I won't reveal how many were sent in this batch because it might skew some answers. Guess if they beaned!
For accuracy, each of these three coins were imaged in IDENTICAL conditions.
Coin #1 - 1940 50c, MS67.
Coin #2 - 1941 50c, MS67. This is the only one that beaned.
Coin #3 - 1943-D 50c, MS67.

Alex, before I guess, is that a vertical scratch on the reverse of the 1941 from the base of the E in UNITED to the B in PLURIBUS?

Mark, that's a slab scratch.
My guess:
All three CAC'ed.

Thanks, Alex and based on that, my guess is the same as that of Mr. @braddick.

I don't see any real grade limiting issues on these. And, though I've been questioned on this, a Rosen Numismatic Advisory from a dozen or more years ago showed a higher success rate with cac with higher grades.
None of them

Number 1 Beaned
Only #2

Alex, I will say yes to all 3, you know your Walkers…………….
2 and 3 CAC'd and maybe exceeded...2 is Nice.
1 prolly beaned but not my fave
I think all three look nice and wouldn't be surprised if all got the sticker. Something about the third one though made me think potentially no, so I will guess that just the first two stickered.
First one only
Gut says only #1
They all look like 67's. I agree with all the #2 guesses. If I were putting my sticker on a slab or buying the coin - only number 2.
First and Second beaned. Last one didn't

I want to guess all 3 but I’ll instead say none due to breast friction per JA. (Throwing out a guess that hasn’t been guessed yet.)

If JA said that, then they all have luster breaks on the breast.
I'd venture a guess that the first one beaned but the 2nd and 3rd did not.
I'm in the all 3 camp, but I still prefer #1.

Those darkish spots in that area could be a function of the image with lights straight on and against the lens. You would really have to see these in hand to confirm what is going on with the luster through there.

I was searching for a reason for CAC failure. I think all 3 got the bean.

I think #1, the 1940... beaned. I'm still on the fence for #2... I think the strike is too flat for the '43...

Some good guesses!
The only coin that beaned is coin #2, the 1941.
2 only….the left hand holding the reeds in #2 is pretty well defined and not so in 1 and 3. But I would defer to Mark F., the expert here. 😉
Alex, what’s your best guess as to why the other two didn’t sticker?
Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions.
Mark, I’ll send you a PM.
Since you are not posting certificate numbers, I'll take a wild guess and say, "PVC."
Maybe I’m in the minority but from my perspective they all look pretty much the same and I don’t see any significant differences between the coins. Granted, I’m biased and don’t collect and have little interest in high grade top pop coins. Doug Winter once said that 99% of people can’t tell the difference between a 66, 66+, and 67, myself included.
I guess if I were to have to nitpick the coins from the pictures to come up with a possible explanation, the 1940 has a little more noise on Liberty's left leg and the 1943-D has a weak strike on the eagle's left leg. No idea if that's what kept the sticker off. 67 has a rather small tolerance for detractions.

All 3 are stunning.
The left hand on 1 & 3 seem mushy and not fully struck. 2 has a lot more detail in the hand area.
A walker collector once advised me (on this site) that the hand is the first thing to examine for this series. I wish I could remember who that was, but their advice stuck with me ever since.

Looks like over-dippy-do on the reverses of the not passed.
