I don't want to try and find it but in a previous thread it was mentioned that focus stacking was used. Don' recall how many photos were said to have been used at that particular time. I don't know if that is still being used but these appear very similar in quality and depth. Here is an article that I found and I posted sometime before on focus stacking.

Here’s the camera setup. The attached objective lens is what I use most. The other one is a 4x mag.
As you can see, there are varieties of extensions and lens converters. Sony body, Canon Ef converter, Nikon F converter, etc. to utilize all my other lenses.

Lighting is the biggest challenge since the working distance isn’t much (16mm).

I can say this, about that, above.
The OP's photo's, in my eyes, are made from a single pristine image.

They call it photo stacking ?
It has a name ? It is what it is, no web site needed. I use that method sometimes.
Is it considered a false image or even a bogus way to support a view ?
Save this discussion for another day.
    Carry on.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_stacking

Prior post in 2023 used focus stacking. It's normal for very high magnification like this.

Pic above was from 8x stacked photos. Below pics are way more for better stacking for sharpness. Software used is Helicon.

A lens with 1:1 mag ratio have a very shallow depth of field (focus). With lens with higher mag ratio, the depth of field gets even shallower. Taking multiple photos at different focus plane enables the macro lens to have greater depth of field. Focus stacking software (Helicon or Adobe) will stitch the sharpest focus of each photos and will then stack them. Hope this helps a little bit…..
