A wise man once posted on this site “if the phallus ain’t wizzing the leg ain’t missing”
This coin looks wrong to me, the last visible part of the leg looks too thick/fat.
Thoughts? Bidding already past $500

Yep, and the hind leg isn’t “moth eaten”.
I'm not even able to grade buffs.
my idea? either tooled away or a straight up counterfeit
I wouldn't buy it.

Definitely,
And this one:

First coin is counterfeit, second is altered.

It is one of life's imponderables that anyone would spend so much money on an uncertified coin that's often faked. That's especially true when buying off of eBay.
lacking shopping knowledge
i've read it in negative ebay feedback
Altered and not good. The Buffalo looks “too healthy,” and the Indian does not have the rust mark on his neck. The Three Legged coin is a late die state with weaker design details, like “moth eaten legs” and rust in the fields.
