Uncertain, but probably 88/12. Master of the Mint Graham made reference to making the Canada cents in the same alloy as the U.S. cents of the day. That said, these trials were made at three different times in three different alloys.

Rare and has a recognized value as a key to the set.
These other two are undocumented die marriages and have rarity though value is not yet commensurate.
Awesome 1878-s Half!!! The other halves are also very attractive. It's cool that they are rare die marriages!

A rare issue, particularly rare with this color and stickered, in my experience.
This will likely be the last coin I ever part with, once I begin an age-driven process of scaling out of my collection.
What a nice example of this rarity! The color is to die for!

Like the above says, post your rarest coin, in terms of value.
Whose version of value are we talking? monetary PCGS style, or true value to the owner?
kidding of course!
Monetary lol. I would love to see some coins that you have sentimental value as well, if you don't mind sharing.

Not the most valuable one, but the only one known to me for this die state: 1798 BB-102 (B-20) Die State I, with no break above the date yet. The BB-103 (overall extremely rare) and BB-107 share the obverse. The reverse was inherited from the knob 9 BB-95, easily seen by the break through the I of AMERICA. Graded VF Details and is holed. Can't be picky when it comes to the only example.

There are only 2 known FS examples. This was the first one ever made. It got a all caps "YOU SUCK" from Russ back in the day.
How did you find it? Just luck or relentless roll searching?
Some old collector on Ebay had rolls he made from 2500 1968 mint sets back in the early 2000's. I bought out all of his rolls and this was one of the coins. You use to find old collectors selling roll collections. I got some wonderful material at times. It was one of those you know it when you see it coins too. Too bad for the giant gouge in the face and scratch. It must have been hit by another coin out of the press traveling at 100+ mph.

Too bad. Price guide says 4k though. That probably made up the cost of all the coins bought and more.

I agree with @pursuitofliberty and @Catbert. My rarest coin is by far this one, with a pop of 17 in all CAM grades at all services. If you take only the CAC examples, that's down to 4, making it a high R-7. Value wise, I'm not sure if it makes the top ten in my collection.
I have one of the other 16, thanks to Maywood! These are somehow quite affordable for what they are.

I didn't know this existed!!! I'm blown away!
It is worth far less than the copper planchet counterpart, but still cool nonetheless.

Sentimental:
Found this in my dear old dads mason jar along with a bunch of other WWII coins. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII
does dcarr stuff count?
That is a badge of "you suck" honor.
rare... most expensive...
let's look at the first spouses in P70 - no coins higher. condition rarity?
Barbara Bush proof: 2,952 sold - P P70DC FS - 2821.50 all-in
Margaret Taylor proof: 4,936 sold - P P70DC FS - 4725.00 all-in
numerically the rarest isn't the most expensive
back to condition rarity. a high condition rarity on a high mintage coin can price over a beat mintage rarity
How did you find it? Just luck or relentless roll searching?
