Ok, the closest is @jfriedm56, he was right there with a guess of 64BN.

The grade is a 64+BN, and freshly beaned.

Since it wasn't an exact "win", perhaps he wants to yield back to @pcgsregistrycollector with the 1797 posted above? IDK, someone else decide lol .

I know nothing about Colonials, but I’m surprised no one else guessed it was an uncirculated piece considering all the knowledgeable Numismatists here.

The reveal was posted last night. Players should probably go back a few posted answers to see if we've moved on to a new coin, IMO. Just a suggestion.

    MS61 for the 1797

    66RB for yours, like!

Unless the grade was revealed already, and frankly I lost track, sorry if I am messing up the board :D

  • CopperindianCopperindian Posts: 2,483 ✭✭✭✭✭

@marcmoish: you’re not messing up anything. I could try & unravel all this, but it may come out more confusing!
Anyway, the 1797 post was way over 24 hours, so I posted the 1859 when I didn’t hear back from him.
Just a reminder, the IHC copper nickels aren’t graded with a color.

My bad. I was driving my truck for 8 hours, and I didn't check my phone. Sorry about that.

    New grade is 64 RB

@pcgsregistrycollector: just a reminder - IHC copper nickels aren’t graded with color designations. Years 1859-1864. Careful with 1864, though, as that was a transition year. There are 3 different types.

Remember that as stated many times before in this post, when grading Indian Head Cents from the years 1859- 1864 Copper/ Nickel series, no color designation would be indicated.

Actually no. All answers that added a color designation are incorrect.

I just put out a BIG hint in another thread. To repeat: all prior answers that included a color designation are incorrect. The actual correct numerical grade was guessed - twice!
It’s 24 hours in about another hour; if no one has it by then, I’ll do the “big reveal”.

    OK, here it is:

Two “correct” guesses, but no color on CN’s. This has been mentioned here before numerous times.
