Even real humans at eBay can't do their jobs

I reported this non-slabbed PCGS auction and got "We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent."
I reported this not allowed slab grading company and got "We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent."
Apparently even real human beings don't know the eBay rules. Things like this are killing our hobby. I wish we had some recourse. Why can't eBay charge for listings and then refund the cost if the item sells?

I don't know, that 1999 D, MS69 RD Lincoln Cent looks mighty tempting & bargain priced too!
They're probably not familiar with PCGS grading and terms like 69 PL.
"Agent" is also a term for a program running on a server meant to execute requests coming from some client. "Customer service agent" may simply be what they call their program that handles these sorts of requests.
That said, eBay has a long and proud tradition of employing imbeciles in customer-facing roles.

Our hobby doesn’t need to be eBay-centric. I’ve managed to get a fine collection with only a handful of pieces from eBay over the last 25 years.
Let eBay wallow in its own s…t.
Yea, I don't think it's ruining the hobby just weeding out the carp.
You're not wrong, but with how nearly everyone who will receive that email will interpret the meaning of "agent," that would be an incredibly moronic way to say an automated system made the decision.
Now if you include programmers...
There are no real humans working at eBay.
While this is likely true, EBay needs to want to stop the huge numbers of counterfeit coins being sold on their site. It would be trivial to have a screening program to compare all known counterfeits (and improving it for new reports), which would reduce the numbers dramatically. But, the EBay CEO and board of directors must see the importance of cleaning up their postings before they would proceed.
Nothing to see here.

eBay is also complicit in the selling of counterfeit coins to unsuspecting buyers.
