The CU 2025 June Pickups Thread

Starting this month off with a…alright, I’ll be honest. It’s another one of my weird ones and I don’t exactly know if it has a name already. So offer me a little leeway. It’s sort of a postcard. It’s sort of a booklet. And it’s sort of an envelope. But PSA has a similar item it graded so I’ll borrow from that:

c1960’s SW Historical Wax Museum Foldout Postcard w/Mickey Mantle

So, let’s see your pickups, both mainstream and odd, strange, unique and fun.

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

I've been wanting a 93 Finest Refractor for the better part of 30 years, and finally pulled the trigger. Not as big a name as I would have preferred, but a HOFer none the less.

edgar martinez is awesome..... Big name yes he is

@BaltimoreYankee That's a great 1979 OPC set you acquired. The centering on your Smith is one of the best that I have seen. That card is notoriously off-centered. Also the rough cuts on the Ryan, Bench, and Jackson are awesome. Great pickup.

Thanks Adam. The Ozzie smith card definitely motivated me to put a good bid on the set.

Yeah, those 79 OPCs are crazy on the centering. Hard to get any that are anywhere close to centered. Those are really great
