@pcgsregistrycollector, you are correct. Sorry I didn’t post the winner sooner, but I spent most of yesterday in the hospital having rotator cuff and bicep surgery.
@pcgsregistrycollector: if you’re really busy today, I’ll be happy to post in your place. Btw, thanks for your good wishes for my flight the other night. It was all good!
Let me know,
Ken
OK, how about a little twist? I mainly collect IHC’s & FE’s. Not everyone knows all there is with the IHC’s, so I’m going to try & level the playing field. Here’s the coin:
In 1864, there were 3 different versions: Copper Nickel, Bronze, & L on Ribbon. The correct guess should not only indicate the grade, but also the color & which of the 3 versions the coin is. If you want (not required), add…..
Extra credit 1: CAC?
Extra credit 2: EEPS?

Sorry about that. I didn't check in a while. Glad to hear your flight went well.
I think my last post above may have been confusing. When I said “look for a common error”, I meant in the guesses, not the coin. Sorry about that.
Any guess made after my post today is entitled to another one.
Since it was the only correct numerical grade & color guess (plus the CAC bonus) I’m calling @lkenefic the winner. You’re up…..
I can understand all the RD guesses; I always thought the coin should be in a RD holder.
Ken,
This is a perfect example of not being able to grade a coin from a picture. Some of the guesses couldn't even differentiate between a bronze and a copper nickel coin.
That's why it makes it so difficult to buy coins from pictures if you don't have the opportunity to see the can in hand.
Buying coins like this and other high end coins online is a crap shoot, and buying coins like this without a CAC sticker is crazy...

Ps, Nice coin
