It took me a bit to figure out what looked odd -- lack of an obverse with the country name and denomination -- till I finally saw an online description with "The coin is no longer legal tender as it is an altered version of the original legal tender.". That turns it into a very expensive token as far as I regard it, but thank you for mentioning it! I had not seen it before

That's correct - most ennobled coins are not legal tender and would be classified as medallions, or tokens but will still be guaranteed by either the private mint which ennobled them, or the dealer selling them (or both in some cases) to meet the stated weight and purity. Regardless, no dramas, just thought I'd mention it just in case it's something you look at. I'll be sure to keep a look out for you on this side of the pond for any new penguin releases.

I look forward to perhaps another species of penguins similar to emperor 2023 1oz which is one of my favorites, but after the whale, its more likely to be a walrus

I started collecting with my daughter who loves penguins, so I don't really have much motivation to swap themes. She would be appreciative if someone could tell us where to pick up a few real penguins for her as well, and she is willing to turn her room into a wildlife conservation center. (If that is a stretch, then where to get the old Pobjoy mint issues in gold)

I do have a few tokens here and there and some medals (Russia loves patting themselves on the back about the Antarctic ) but primarily I'm focused on official coinage

Thanks for thinking of me ! I've got both versions of the medal. For anyone interested, it's called "Arctic - Antarctic", by Erwin Springweiler struck by the Medallic Art Company for the Society of Medalists in 1941 at 73mm. Mintage of 999 in bronze and 100 in silver (202g); the bronze ones are fairly common while I've only ever seen the silver one a single time, which I paid 6x for
