1918 D PCGSMS63 BUFFALO NICKEL WITH SOME VERY COOL DIE BREAKS

I thought I had posted my 1918 D buffalo, but I didn't see it on the discussions page.
I'll try again.
I saw this very cool 1918 D PCGSMS63 buffalo nickel a long time ago, and I couldn't believe my eyes and bought it right away.
I saw the die break running down through, the L, in LIBERTY and and also one running from the back of the Indian's head, through to his jaw.
My digital microscope is not working right now, but here are the pictures, of the PCGS true view.

Sweet cracks. That one running along the jaw was working its way toward a completely bisecting crack. I wonder how many more strikes that die lasted after this coin.
I think this is a fantastic crack for a Buffalo. Not my series, but one of the best cracks I've seen on these, and a great date, with a hammered strike to boot.

if only it were 100 years ago maybe we could have found a nickel that shows it completely failed!

The coin itself shows a real nice strike, although it's not a "blast" coin. 18-D was not a very good year for hammered coins at Denver in other denominations as well.
Not knowing the grade, I would have guessed at least a 64.

I had collected mainly silver dollars and VAMS, but I met Ron Pope had helped me learn, about these buffalo nickels and when I saw this nicely struck 1918 D buffalo nickel I hit the 'BUY IT NOW', because I needed that date, then I saw the tiny die breaks along the crack and and was really happy.
I'm still trying to get my digital microscope to work on my new Windows 11 laptop, but I cropped some of the pictures of the obv, to try and show the tiny breaks in the crack, running along the bottom part of the Indian's head.

yours are good enough, though the super jumbo trueview is the best
