Going by the rules in the OP, it's one guess per person. I'll reveal in a few hours if no one comes up with the right grade. A couple folks are close.

    Rules

    • One guess per person. (You can still interact, respond, or talk about the coin after guessing)

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

    PickinndGrinninPickinndGrinnin Posts: 236 ✭✭✭

There is also a second day guess. We have done it many times.

IIRC, "one guess per day" was the original rule that was later changed to "one guess per person".

Perhaps to allow folks that don't log in as frequently a better chance to participate? I'm not sure.

In any case, I will abide by the rules as they are currently written so that the game is fair to all participants.

Sorry, folks. No winners on this one, although two guesses were within half a point (coinscratch & jfried)

It's an interesting coin, in that it has some woodgrain effect in the metal which casts shadows that make the coin look RB depending on the angle. Looking closely, you can see the lines moving in different directions on the obv and rev shots. The TrueView seems to oversaturate some light toning as well.

I got your rules, not that they have been the same since the start of this thread, But OK.

AU details cleaned if you want to go back about 10 years, It's a pretty coin though.

Ken is correct—this is a proof, not a business strike.

It's not one I own, but I thought it was neat given some similarity in the woodgrain to my 66+RD. I'm not well-versed in the MPLs, but I believe the most common diagnostics for this die pairing are the polish lines off Lincoln's nose, and the die gouge between the wheat and rim.

No one hit the target exactly on this one, although PTC had the grade and color correct. I'll post something other than a woodgrain Lincoln next :)

@Smudge great eye! Pop is just two at PCGS for this date, and just 50 total in 62+PL in the series.
