CAC announces they are no longer accepting economy stickering submissions at shows

I was very surprised when I showed up at the CAC table with my submission and they told me. Why do you think they did this?
After I whined a while they did make an acception for me.

Guess they don’t want to lug full boxes of my common date MS63 Peace Dollars back to NJ anymore. Bummer.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

A business decision. Only they know the answer.

My guess is that dealers were taking advantage of the free shipping. This assertion is based upon the fact that the usual volume of non-show submissions are from dealers as opposed to collectors.

I am wondering if this is the beginning of scaling back the stickering operation.

High grading prices have pretty well eliminated "cheap slabs." In the old days I used to keep my type set current to the latest modern coins that were added to the list for about $20 a coin.

Now I can't do it. Try and find a slabbed Washington Crossing the Delaware Quarter for cheap money. I can't do it. All you see is "fancy varieties" for high prices, which I won't pay.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I have zero stickered (sold out) as buying only CAG in that arena especially low pop. At shows many my CACG slabs only ones in the bourse room (for a particular issue) especially low pop. Witter Brick pieces especially low CACG Pop seeing strong demand / prices. Well heeled investors flocking to this area. Wondering if somewhere I can get a CACG ball cap and (green) CACG Polo shirt - beacon get them to my table.
