I bought this 1807 from Kathine Bullowa many years ago. She called it "a hair's breath from Unc." which is what it is. The dies were not perfectly aligned when it was struck. It is also a rare early die state. There is some P-L surface on it, especially in the area above the eagle's head. NGC graded it AU-55.
This coin is in low relief, which makes it a bear to photograph.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Here is one of my favorites - IMHO- just a perfect example - Not cleaned, not too dark, nor too white & doesn't have any distracting marks. Just plain old originally toned example. Almost impossible to find.

Holy Cow! Found in a bag of mixed coins? Is that an image with some of the other pieces in the bag?
Indeed! It was all in a cheap Ziploc bag!
The guy that brought it owns a pawnshop near the coin shop I work at, back in 2022. He brought some stuff in and that bag was in there.
The owner was going through the bag and found this quarter, paid him accordingly, he could’ve easily just ignored it and bought the bag for a few dollars the guy that brought it had no idea what was in that bag apparently.
When the deal went through, I promptly told him I wanted that coin! Soon after it was sent to PCGS, it’s one of my favorites! It’s a cool story, too.

This one is heavily clashed and has a shattered reverse die-

I wanted to play but I don’t have one.
