Toned 1962 Proof Set under construction.

A raw toned dime and a raw toned quarter are being submitted for grading (they both have two sided orange color). When graded True View photos of those two coins will be posted.
For the nickel and cent here they are.
For the half dollar which of these would you choose to be in the toned proof set?

I would go with Cert No. 48469867

I like the 868. Just enough color to blend in and not be overwhelming.
868 to me
I always enjoy looking at coins from my birth year, 1962. I myself am not much or at all into toned coins, so in this group 864 or 865. Enjoy building the collection.
Not knowing what type of toning you have on the dime and quarter I would opt for the Frankie cert # 48469868.
All are nice coins and options but that coin to my eye blends nicely with the nickle and cent you have posted.
If the other coins are orange toned, then 543 appears to be a good similarity.
Here are True View photos of the newly graded toned 1962 dime and quarter.
The dime has dark toning that is not eye appealing.
The quarter has toning that is a lighter orange in hand than it shows in the photo.
I think I will use half 543 to complete the set.
542 is nice for the half

I too vote for the Great Pumpkin half (543). If you are going toned, go toned! I like pastel toning, but the other half dont really have it "half it
" for a toned set to me.
@SanctionII, Of the coins you have seen, is Orange the predominate 1962 color?
I've got this 62 linc up on GC now in case it tickles your fancy.

The toned 1962 proof silver coins I have come across usually have orange toning. Cents and nickels have a wide variety of toning.
So here is the toned set. All of the coins are graded PF66, with the cent being RB.
At the same time I think the toning is both attractive and unattractive
Yes, i like toning, but not sure how I feel about toned silver proof coins from this era, as the great majority are still white (or hazed)
In any case a great set!
I have Franky's brother. Found it in a PF set years ago. The whole set has wild colors.
Nice set @SanctionII
Looks nice but nickel looks out of place.

Proof coins from 1962 are easily found and almost as easily found toned. The question I would ask is what sort of parameters have you set for yourself?? Are you trying to assemble really nice toning?? Tone with some type of contrast?? Tone but at a certain grade??
The coins you have shown are all toned rather vanilla.

@SanctionII, JMHO, this is the sort of thing you can find in flat pack Proof Sets and it shouldn't be hard. I have two others which mimic this tone closely, one in an old ANACS holder and one still in a Proof Set. Quarters, Dimes and Half-Dollars should be easy enough in wonderful blue bullseye and the Cents in wide range of tone, from steel blue to red orange tones.

The coins in the toned1962 proof set, except for the cent, are random coins located in proof sets I harvested Cameos from. Since they have a similar orange color I decided to assemble it.
When the dime and quarter arrive home I will view all five coins together. I am on the fence about whether the set is attractive or not.
The colorful nickel you posted is gorgeous. I have a few proof nickels that have that type of color. Assembling a proof set with five coins that have toning like your posted nickel would not be easy.
Here's my quarter (67 CAM):

Your gorgeous quarter would go very nicely with Franklin halves 864 and/or 868 shown above.
Are you looking for nicely toned coins or a matched set ??

Beautiful completed set @SanctionII
Well done!
48469864 (the first half) works best to me. The device toning and strike appears to be well matched to the nickel. But this is, of course, based on images.
take some not tv photos and just straight on without much effort to capture the color
