Nice gift from my brother. 2 unopened packs of '83 Topps. Will rip this weekend, post anything significant.

I remember in early 1984 going to the wholesale house and buying several boxes for $5 each. Still have 4 left plus some loose packs I bought at a 7-11. I was disappointed when Topps didn't go this route and stayed with the wax 😕

Thanks for all the compliments. When I saw it I didn’t stop thinking about it until it was finally in hand today. Always exciting to win any auction but this one felt better than most.

Pull a Sandberg, Gwynn or Boggs RCs…

That would be nice! Worst case, I can upgrade some cards in my raw '83 set. And try 42 year old gum...lol.

One of those common cards you neglect to upgrade in your set. That was this one, finally.

Very nice card. What I find cool is the rare muti-position he played. I don't recall ever seeing a vintage card with shortstop/pitcher before.

@UlyssesExtravaganza Can appreciate the sell a handful of cards to buy one cool card. Drove to the Philly Show yesterday to drop off 97 cards I would like to turn into one two three cards.

I, to, drove to the Philly show last week too, dropped off about 150 "unwanted" stabs hoping for about $10000 - and a Vintage Set hoping for about $35000 (if you can believe the VCP estimate, but who can tell in this craze buying/selling environment). I could get close to a Ruth - But I two was hoping for 3 -5 memorable cards to slide into my PC.

Doing this for my son - I hope to consolidate my collection to fit in a shoebox when I hand it down to him
Prior to the handoff, that was never going to happen.

I do share the concern that these types of cards I'm looking for are posting for way more that expected value - We'll see how I make out - hopefully not cash rich with nothing to buy.

Just got this tougher 1967 high number of Norm Cash. Top to bottom centering issue, otherwise looks great to me!

I love the 67 set . Who ever shot the photos for the Detroit cards , had a NICE CLEAR day and most the Tigers had the same good angle look to them . Thanks for posting .--- Sonny

I think a 7 is perhaps low for this one. I didn't think it was good enough for a PSA 9 so I had never sent it in, but I saw some other posts on a pretty poor PSA 10 example so I figured I would try my luck for $18. I think it's better than most PSA 9s that I've seen. It will enjoy a spot in my 79 PSA set as I think this is my first PSA grade for this card.

You should have had FSC submit this for you and you would have received a 9. You are correct, this is much better than the 10 that they received.

I believe the Mariners card is Langston, he was a pretty solid pitcher.

Not an easy HOF first card to find with only 3 examples ever graded. Thank you to Andy on these boards letting me know it existed.

Nice pick up. I saw that pop up earlier this week.

I couldn't let this one slide by.....another addition to the HOF set

Very nice. Great centering. Looks like card got nailed for the field marks on the blue background and spots on his right shoulder.

There are several mantle items that are rare but really not in that great of demand because most people (almost no one) knows what they are. 😁

Well, this is one of those items with the name of it somewhat unofficial but mostly in line with their style and it’s a classic image of the Mick shilling for of one of the more recognizable brands in American history.
