I think 1880 - the thickness of the sides of the second digit lead me to eliminate the possibility of anything after 1883, and the shape of the hole in the last digit seems consistent enough to rule out it being a 2 or a 3.

Due to the wear and other stuff, this is not conclusive. But I drew some lines on the mint mark. The two white lines I tried to line up with the right side of the two C. They are close to parallel (especially for this worn case) and show positioning relative to the O and bow above. The two yellow lines, I tried to line up with the inside of the D and then drew a parallel yellow line that sort of lines up with the left edge of the first C. This shows position of C relative to D and also that the D and the C are also somewhat parallel.
Other things to look for are the spacings between the mintmark C's and the letters D and O, and also to the ribbon above.

Here are the pages for the 1889, 1890, 1892 and 1893 CC. One can mostly eliminate these due to the position of the CC mintmark and / or the spacings to other elements or tilt. For a couple/few of them might need to go to a VAM page link to see a photo or better photo.
The 1882 and 1883 CC pages. It also looks like the 1882 CC can be eliminated but one is kind of close (again may need to go to a VAM link for photo or better photo). The 1883 has a couple of possibilities but perhaps rev C3d lines up best. Not sure as a lot of wear. But the pages are there to study further if one desires.
I went looking for an 1883 CC with this CC position and I think I found one (that is actually my coin ).
Below, the first figure/picture is showing how the two CC line up fairly well between the OP coin and the 1883. The white and yellow lines are the same as before on the OP coin (previously saved file). I drew in similar lines on the known 1883 CC. Notice that the yellow lines are not quite at the same angle. This is due to my approximation of where the inside edge of the letter D lined up on the worn OP coin. Looks like I missed it, but close. Also drew in a green line across the top of the CC to show how that lines up with the bow. Spacings between the CC and letters D and O and the bow are very similar also between the two coins.
I noticed how the white lines did not appear to line up with the tail feathers. The second figure/picture shows how wear can mess things up. In this case the tail feathers on the OP coin are not what they look like with the wear on the viewers right side.
I drew in colored lines between each tail feather. They match fairly well (green, light blue, blue, violet) until you get to the two on the viewers right side (red, orange which I really guessed on the OP coin). Those gaps in the OP coin are not the tail feather gaps. Notice how the red and orange lines do not match between the two coins. I approximated where the tail feathers are on the OP coin with the two black lines to best match the position of the red and orange lines on the other coin. Interesting how the wear really messed up that appearance. Not sure what it is.

I’m thinking 1890CC
I like to eliminate possibilities like 1, 4, 5, 6, 7. I like it as an 1882.
Maybe an1883cc

1883-CC and probably Fair-02 (too much of LIBERTY still visible to be Poor-01).
I bought it for $27. from the cull Morgan bowl at my LCS. I was going to pass on it until I saw the CC. Another one for the tube!

Did you determine that from VAM clues? If any more of the date was gone, how could you determine the year?
