    I am unable to envision when the time would come for this design to advance beyond the conceptual drawing… or taking the initiative to seek out the plan for the reverse.

    This would have been the first President on (non-pattern) U.S. coinage, beating the jugate Washington & Lafayette dollar by a few years.

    That design looks plain and uninteresting enough to get approved for a modern commemorative.

    The first thing I thought of is, "Dan Carr NEEDS to make this dollar happen!" (Surprisingly saw Daniel at the Long Beach show. He stopped by the table a couple times and we had a great discussion.)
