    Crowned head facing forward with Tudor rose to the left and denomination to the right
    Lettering: EDWARD VI D. G. AGL. FRA. Z HIB. REX / XII
    (Edward VI by the Grace of God King of England France and Ireland)
    Mintmark: Tun (a large beer or wine cask)
    Reverse:
    Quartered shield of arms over long cross
    Lettering: POSVI DEVM ADIVTOR MEV Y(Mintmark) (I have made God my helper)
    Struck: London Tower Mint 1551-1553
