I’m very sad to report the passing of an extraordinary collector and gentleman - Tom Turissini.

I don’t have any details to share.
Tom was one of the nicest persons I ever met and I always greatly enjoyed our conversations.
My prayers go out to his loved ones and friends.

Out of respect for the family’s privacy, I ask that they not be contacted at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

I assume he was a fellow collector. Was he a member here? Would someone like to say a few words about who he was?

I didn't know him. However, my heartfelt condolences to all who did.

Tom was among the finest folks I have ever interacted with and his eye for quality coinage (especially copper) was rivaled by few. At this time I am not at liberty to share more information, but this has been a stinging loss for many of us to deal with over these recent weeks.

    RIP, my good friend.

That is terrible. I didn’t know Tom well - met him a few times at shows because I was often hanging out with NJCoinCrank and Tom would stop by. Very nice man to talk to.

He had an amazing eye for early copper.

Although I didn't know Tom well, he was a Gem of a guy here on the boards. My condolences to his family and closest friends.

Great man, collector, and friend. The boy had spirit!

I believe he liked his 1794 cents best. Link below for his proof Indians.

Very sorry to hear this. I didn't recognize the name until someone mentioned Big Moose and then I knew immediately from seeing his 1794 cents when he posted here years ago. Another fine person I won't have a chance to meet. RIP, Big Moose.

It was easy to get spoiled in a hurry, when having the pleasure of viewing Tom’s coins. And his enthusiasm was infectious.

Tom was so much fun to be around. We 1st met in the early days of Ebay - he snagged a NCG MS67 small cent pattern I was selling. We've been friends since.

He will be greatly missed by many of us.
