Show the Crust, especially if she's a Bust
I recently picked up this 1814 O-103 (a Die Marriage I have wanted for a long time but never quite saw the right one).
The color and surfaces, overall originality and almost "cameo" two-tone feel from the high-point wear is really something I love.
Super happy with her! Kind of happy with the images too. It's nice to have the start of my studio back in place.

Collecting Bust halves is an expensive endeavor! Outside of gold, Bust halves have got to be the priciest series, or at least one of the priciest series to collect, and they keep going up and up! I only one a single example, for my US Type set.

CBHs are actually very affordable comparatively to other series. Dimes, quarters, and dollars are much more expensive pre-1836. That is because the lower denominations circulated much more in which the survival rates are just a fraction of what is available for bust halves. Dollars are generally more expensive based on popularity, size, and survival rates as well.
Bust halves were held and hoarded by banks, individuals, and organizations (cults) that make the availability significantly higher, especially in "original" condition.

1829 LM-16.2 half dime, in PCGS/CAC XF45, ex Davis, ex Meaney. From the Meaney catalog: "PLATE COIN. Ex-Davis. Fun fact about this remarriage: When Stack’s sold Russ Logan’s collection in 2002, the only die marriage or remarriage known at the time that was missing from his collection was this remarriage. David J. Davis, JRCS member #1 and JRCS President Emeritus and member of the JRCS Hall of Fame, contributed his half dime collection for study during the writing of the Logan-McCloskey text. This original, choice XF coin has mostly even gold to light brown patina and luster commensurate with the grade. Although the JRCS census does not yet reflect the true rarity of this remarriage, we are going to delve into that here. Six examples were reported in the 2019 census. Attribution of this remarriage is controversial, such that bona fide known examples may be fewer than six. So you may consider this the rarest R-2 die marriage or remarriage ever (it is probably an R-7 …maybe we will address that in the next census)."
