    Czechoslovakia Shall Be Free Again (soldier tied to two columns with snakes twined around and topped by German helmets, swastikas on each column, woman-child-baby by his side, Czech scenes in background) // Republika Ceskoslovenska, March 15, 1939 (Arms of Czechoslovakia ). Lightly gilted bronze, high relief, 1 1/2 inch in diameter, uncirculated, signed Medallic Art Co. on the edge, issued at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair to raise money for and bring attention to the occupation of Czechoslovakia.

    It must have taken some true energy and fearfulness to create such a medal under Nazi Occupation.

    This is one Nazi themed Medal that is worthy of collecting.

    I have this medal and always suspected it was World's Fair. Thanks Theboz11.

    There is a medal from the fair with a very similar reverse.

    I have a couple of these in their original little Medallic Art Co. boxes (my grandparents were Czech immigrants). Are they copper or bronze?

    I believe the medal is bronze-off hand I am not sure if there are silver or gold examples.

    When I looked for TPGS examples of them, I didn't see any indication that there were gold or silver versions. I did see different verbiage on labels and descriptions, including "bronze," "gilt bronze," and "copper" -- but all the images looked the same! lol
