Nobody knows the trouble I've seen on this forum since joining it some 22 years ago.22nd anniversary just two days from now. My five stars were EARNED by engaging with not just one but multiple know it alls, each with his own distinctive flavor, through the years. Some know it alls are memorable. Others not so much. But my point is nobody just handed my five stars to me. I fought and struggled for my stars. Not everyone here with five stars can say that.

Five stars means 1000 points. Each like and agree that you receive count as a point, and some of the badges do as well. I haven't even been here a year, but I have learned so much.

No, you're good. It's more a ratio of quality posts to just general posts. If you're posting quality opinions, info, or coins, you get more points and a higher relative score.
If you're being a knucklehead (as some of us are sometimes) and putting up a lot of gratuitous posts that don't add much, you get a lower score.
A good score doesn't mean you're numismatist of the year, just a quality member who doesn't fool around that often.

I believe it's unfortunately a byproduct of the internet. Everywhere you go people argue for the sake of arguing. And they say things they would most likely never say to someone's face if the same discussion were to happen. I would love to do a video series of putting the same two people face-to-face for a discussion on the same topic to see what happens when you can't hide behind the computer screen.
Exactly, people feel safe to hide behind the internet, and don't act the same as they would in person. I fall guilty to this myself at times, but it is best when we all act the same as in person.
