On September 21, 1951, at Fenway Park, the Red Sox trailed 2-0 against the Yankees in the 4th inning. Clyde Vollmer hit a double to left field with Johnny Pesky and Ted Williams on base. Pesky scored, but Yogi Berra tagged Ted Williams out after Hank Bauer fired a strike. The Yankees beat the Red Sox 5-1, as Allie Reynolds held the Sox scoreless for the rest of the game.
