RIP Joe Flores

I just heard that Joe Flores of Stockton, CA passed away on 25 April 2021.

Joe was one of the founders of the USMex Numismatic Association and at one time, had arguably the best collection of Mexican Revolutionary coinage (1910~1920) ever assembled. He was also an author. He co-authored, together with "Woody" Woodworth, La Ventana (a book about the Revolutionary coins of Oaxaca).

Joe had tremendous wit and told it like it was!

I will miss him greatly.

    Sorry to hear.

A few of my revolutionary coins came from him. Many years ago, before I ever met him, there was this guy at Long Beach that kept outbidding me on the revolution coins I was trying to buy. Didn't find out until later, it was Joe.

    RIP, my friend. :'(
