    illusory. a scan can detect a minute speck of white on a card with colored borders and accentuate the hell out of it. even a couple of corners appear touched. but when you hold it in your hand.......dime all day.

    Love that '78 sheet. There was a post on these forums many many moons ago about the double-prints in various series based on the number of cards per sheet it. I did a quick search and couldn't find it, but I believe it's there. I recall it being full of great info. Seeing the double prints on these sheets tends to explain a lot about the scarcity of cards, especially when there are double-prints in the high-number series.

    However!

    That said.

    It still can't explain why I get soooo many Pete LaCock and Ron Guidry when I open 78s! I was expecting to see 10 of them both per sheet!

    Looks like a Steve Carlton HOFer too.

    And some borderline guys with Hernandez, John and Guidry (if I was king for a day).

    The 78 set may be my least favorite of the decade, but the photos were all well done. Solid set.

    Each 1978 sheet has one row double printed in order to fit all 726 cards on six full sheets. Pete Rose is a notable that is on the double print line of another sheet. I need two more sheets to complete. One I just obtained will be in a frame soon. #400 Ryan is on that one! Among others….
