Stretching an 1864 Indian HC

This 1864 IHC has damage. But, is that the designer’s initial?
I borrowed a microscope camera. Little help. So, I channeled my inner Emerald spirit and I see a raised blob where the letter L should appear.
Compare to a 66 and an 06.
From what I offer, I doubt that we can resolve it.
(Maybe I hope that the damage is not damage)?

I'm sure an Indian Cent specialist will weigh in, but if I recall correctly you should be able to determine if it's an "L" by examining the tip of the bust. Pointed tip = L, rounded tip = no L.

Someone stuck it in an elongator and removed it too late.
One coin—bottom pair come from PCGS.
Actually, the 1864 with L had a redesigned narrow bust point. It’s different than the pointed bust of 1859 & part of 1860, although it does look similar.

Both the 6 & 66 appear to be “L’s”. The 6 looks like the S-1 variety. I didn’t examine the 66 for a variety a but surface look says it’s not.
The other pics aren’t clear enough for me to make a determination.
