1858/7 Flying Eagle Overdate?

I know this topic has been talked and talked about. I purchased this coin for my book but then after closer look, it looks to me, could be wishful thinking it is the overdate. Hard to tell from pictures as I do not have it yet. It looks definitely, broken wing, I can see the dot above the 8 I circled it. Could just be damage. Just hard to see if there is that line above the last 8. What you think?

Yes it is hard to tell without coin in hand. I am pretty sure that is a broken wing. It is higher then where it should be. Does it mean it's an overdate, I do not know. Worst case it is a decent coin for my book
It can't move. If it is higher than where it should be, it is NOT.

I apologize, wrong choice of words. I just meant the wing proportion or angle looked off. If it's not, then it is not.
The pic is not great and i would want to see the coin in hand (or a betting pic) to be sure, but i believe it is the overdate

The broken wing tip is a hub variety and is on multiple dies. If you can't see the 7 it's not an overdate.
The photo is not bad, but the surface of the coin is terrible. A high resolution close-up of the second 8 is needed.

I'm not seeing the dot above the middle of the date plus there is tooling under the eagle.
Also not seeing traces of the 7 to the right of the 8.
I don't think it is but hard to tell on a well circulated coin and even harder with a poor picture to boot.......

If you can't see the 7 it's not an overdate.
Makes sense to me. Are collectors really interested in overdates where not a trace of the under digit can be seen?
Redbook says this:
"The 1858, 8 over 7, variety, can be identified by a small dot in the field above the first 8-- during production the die was ground down until the 7 was invisible. Coins with the 7 showing are more desirable."

This one kills me.....A very nice MS64 could command this kind of money on a very good day, but you can't even see the 7 over the last 8. And only $35K!!
