I want those also and I already bid them to full CPG/PCGS value. Sorry.

    ;)

I specifically put my ‘bid sniper’ in on those exact coins….so I will win at the last second…and you can’t do anything about it….🤔😂

I'm interested in the following coins in this weeks Heritage auction.. All DE's Should I have sent this to your Heritage e-mail?

    1861 MS 61 Rep
    1901 MS65 (5108)
    1902 MS60
    1905 MS61

If u have a chance can u LMK your opinion of the coins. Graded properly?

I am starting to believe that the prices on the TPG coins will slip a bit due to concern that they are over graded relative to CACG?

    Thoughts?

I'm curious why you think CACG is any different than PCGS or NGC graded coins. CACG is no more than a single opinion just as the others. The old CAC sticker was a affirmation given on the original slab(2 opinions on the same slab)... JMHO

See the CAC threads for details.

The general sentiment is that CACG is being stricter and paying more attraction to things like friction. As such a CACG 63 might be worth more than a PCGS 63.

[Although I'm not sure why the OP seems to be implying that the PCGS price would be going down rather than simply a premium being paid for CACG.]

I’ve seen posts which opine that one of the unintended consequences of CAC is the decline in value of non-CAC coins. Of course, I don’t know how someone can ascertain whether CAC coins trade at a premium or non-CAC coins trade at a discount (or both).😉

Agreed. But it's not exactly logical to me. A PCGS 63, with all the problems they may or may not have, has a price now. Why would that price change just because a CACG is (allegedly) superior?

If she sees these posts, she’ll be checking YOUR life insurance policy.🫢

I'm interested in the following coins in this weeks Heritage auction.. All DE's Should I have sent this to your Heritage e-mail?

    1861 MS 61 Rep
    1901 MS65 (5108)
    1902 MS60
    1905 MS61

If u have a chance can u LMK your opinion of the coins. Graded properly?

I am starting to believe that the prices on the TPG coins will slip a bit due to concern that they are over graded relative to CACG?

    Thoughts?

    TY.

I'm curious why you think CACG is any different than PCGS or NGC graded coins. CACG is no more than a single opinion just as the others. The old CAC sticker was a affirmation given on the original slab(2 opinions on the same slab)... JMHO

    Mark

It's easy. Look at the coins. If the CAC coin looks overpriced for what it is, it trades at a premium. And if the non-CAC coin looks like a bargain for what it is, it trades at a discount. B)

Well, at least now I know the lots to bid up!

That can be a dangerous game to play.
