Not to sure about the obverse. 😂 🤣

    This hurts my heart.

    On a much lesser coin, I found a 1998 WIDE AM Cent once, and when I turned it over it looked worse than this! Not a valuable coin, but it still was disappointing

    Maybe some Verdicare could help, but I would test it on a normal one first.

    I feel it is environmental damage beyond salvage.

    If it was mine I would put in jar of mineral oil and leave for a year- although I have no idea what it would do with the manganese brass.

    I tried the Verdicare route @Ownerofawheatiehorde after an acetone bath. The acetone did nothing! It "might" have loosened up the gunk. All that gunk came off this one coin. I repeated and rinsed several times. Just gently wiping the coin with the Q-tips.

    I use the verdicare sparingly (just a few drops at a time), I don't have much left. It really seemed the dissolve the verdigris! It's still environmental damage but a major improvement!
