If you had $10,000 free money to spend........

Would you buy either:

(A) One $10,000 coin, or

(B) Ten $1,000 coins or

(C) A hundred $100 coins?

Personally, I think I would fall under the (B) category.

    I thought about the 2 x 5K choice, but I didn't want to list an excessive amount of choices.

    There are a few coins I want, so it would probably be

    Z. A $2500 coin, a $2000 coin, a $1200 coin , a $600 coin and then $3700 in lower cost upgrades to my raw albums.

    My two most important collections are each stuck at one coin left, and $10k of free money won't be nearly enough....for either slot. But given $10k free money, and the three option provided, I would go with 'A'.

    One. And I'm currently working on it. I am selling 250 slabbed coins ranging from $5 to $1000 and will invest it all in one coin.

    That will close chapter 1.

    I would also try to upgrade from my Anacs stabbed fair-2 chain cent to a nice planchet vg chain cent in a pcgs or ngc slab.

    Assuming you mean that I get to go on a coin splurge, with the first $10,000 paid by someone else (so I can't keep what's left over if I spend less than $10,000), I'd buy a pretty nice 1916 standing Liberty quarter, using the $10,000 to make a pretty nice one affordable.

    I’d probably buy around 333.33 $3 coins. All bulk silver as an investment. >:)

    What are the $5 ones? You can sell random slabs on ebay for maybe ~$15 apiece.

    I’d probably go with A, but I can’t tell you which coin.
    Given the option of $10k in coins from someone else’s bank account, I’d probably buy one coin for several thousand and then a few around $1k.

    A 1904 double eagle in ms66. 10k give or take a few hundred depending on the seller. But, I would get something else. Like a nice 1852-O. Or a nice CC $20.

    Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.

    A nice pre-Civil War double eagle would be my choice. I'd avoid the extremely common 1904 double eagle.
    Sometimes I think they are still being minted.

    Bullion related gold. Using $1000 as a limit, in this political/economic climate, I guess I would be in for about ten spouse coins at the best price-wouldn't care much about the dates on these!

    CAC or CACG do a great job of evaluating gold in terms of how much they have been messed with, so the chances of getting a straight-graded coin with that so-called 'originality' look is better. Hence.............. ;)

    If I had 10,000 to blow I would find the nicest 1852-O Seated Half I could find. I would spend the rest hunting down the 34 specific Seated coins on my personal list. james

    None of the above. Would spend it toward a trip to head south and hang out with thousands of penguins, albatross and elephant seals.

    I would buy a nice 1847-o vf $5.00 for 10K
    I have just sold a bunch of my Seated Coins to buy a single rare gold coin. Would add the 10k to it and buy a AU-1865 $2.50 or an AG 1864-s 5.00, maybe an XF 1863 $5.00 or XF 1865 $5.00
    Finding any of these coins requires a ridiculous amount of patience. Not even sure you can find an 1863 in under AU.
    However I am ridiculous.

    An xf 1865 5.00 just went for 43K in xf on Heritage, but the price realized seemed off the wall.

    I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
