Does anyone have any experience buying coinsfrom Great Southern Coins?

I am considering buying something from them in their EBay auctions, but am wondering if their photos are photoshopped or over exposed. Any feedback appreciated on the quality of their coin as well. Thanks

I purchased exactly 1 coin from them. It was ANACs proof Washington quarter and honestly it was fine. The condition of the coin matched the image and they shipped it no issue. I wouldn't buy anything raw from them personally though I really only buy raw coins from a handful of people online.

Something like the coin posted is probably a safe bet from just about anyone.
But stay FAR away from any of their high end raw stuff.
I would stick to the certified stuff.
I am not sure what they do, but many of the early uncirculated coins I bought from them showed more details in their pictures than when the coin was in my hand.
I am glad that a couple of the buyers I do not even look at any more have watermarks in their thumbnail pics, so I can easily skip them when they show up in my searches.

Certified items no problem.
But I won't even consider bidding on their raw coins.
As others have said you’d probably be ok with a slabbed purchase, but personally I would skip over it out of principle. Very common coin in common condition, I’d rather give a more reputable dealer my business.

I have made a decision not to purchase any coins from GSC because of their business practices noted above. That decision was tested this week as they have a Pattern Trade Dollar in a PCGS holder for sale on eBay that I wanted, but it was overpriced, so it was an easy decision not to make the purchase.
My experience has convinced me that I can go the rest of my life passing on anything they have to offer. There are a few other sellers that have given me the same experience and no matter what I see that they have to offer, I know without a doubt that I can live without.

I paid them a substantial amount of tuition, back when I was still learning.
DON'T buy raw from them.
Certified is 'OK' just as long as they don't use stock photos, which I really don't know if they do or not.

I am curious if the price was much lower than expected would you have then purchased the coin?
I can't speak for slider, and it's not like there are a lot of "circ" patterns floating around but it was priced like a 60-61 coin and was a 40. Asking ~$2500, fair value is probably half that. I'm not sure how much lower below FMV they could really ask that would make a difference for me.

I most likely would have made the purchase if @lermish did not see it first. The example is a nice looking circulated pattern that I really like. Most of the Pattern Trade Dollars for sale are in my uncomfortable zone price range.
I did not make the purchase for many of the same reasons as you. But even if it was priced more reasonably I probably still would not have.
