Hello, Anybody know if this die clash will be recognized by pcgs as a variety?

    Is a die clash a variety? I’ve always thought of them as a kind of die state.

    It’s cool looking even if it doesn’t get a variety designation. I like how you can read EDITH backwards like that on Washington’s ear area. It might get a good premium if you sold it on eBay.

    I think it's a keeper due to the strong clash elements. IMO. If the majors won't, maybe ICG would. Good luck. Peace Roy

    Here is the list of varieties that PCGS recognizes, if this was to fall under any category it would be the last selection the cherry pickers guides. However, this coin is too new to be included in any of the cherry pickers guides that PCGS uses. Maybe in 50 years. ;)

    Could also check if ANACS would designate it.

    Because they generally aren't cataloged varieties, just low level errors. There are VAMs and clashed Overton varieties but not a lot of modern ones.

    It also wouldn't be worth the cost of submission anyway.
