WoW!! I had no idea you could have a legitimate graded PO-1 coin without a date!! Really??........I guess so. I learned something, thanks!

According to ANACS, you can. Other companies, I’m not sure.

Interesting. I true P0-1 (to me) has a date. Thanks!

I only assumed my answer from the population report.

So all those slabs have a ND designator. I guess all the TPG'ers try to be unique in some menial way from each another.

Only 20 have been made though. Maybe it was a thing they tried out but stopped doing? Someone at ANACS know?

Hold on.. Let me make a phone call. @CaptHenway

It’s good to know. I’ll be keeping it now knowing that I’ll probably never find another again.

I bet I've sat down and tried to take pics of this little guy a dozen times over the years. The first pic is the closest I've come to capturing its in-hand color. One day I'm going to learn to take pics of copper ...

Did the most recent Redbook add the 1943/1942-S Cent?

I don't know. Got this out of the 2022 edition. Obviously a misprint. Not sure if the 2023 edition was corrected or added the 1943/1942-S Cent.

There must be a disconnect here. Yes, I showed the redbook with the arrow pointing to the 43 not the 43D/D.

I said I loved the 43 because it had a value of $2000 in MS65.

@OAKSTAR Oh, my bad I thought you were referring to the cool 43 D over D. $2k lol. Nobody uses the Redbook for prices anyways. It a good source of information, but not so good on pricing.

I just use it for a quick reference for ballpark figures.

I agree, the toning adds lots of character and eye appeal, it’s definitely prettier than the majority of red cents. :)

Yes, it looks worse in-hand but I love it! 😂 👍 I bought the date, the grade and the holder. The coin was extra! 😂

I just sold this coin on another forum.

I've cracked a handful of these for my Lincoln set, I still have the inserts saved somewhere.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

That is a beauty, what a strike and nice PL surface. That had to be an early production off whatever dies were used. Thanks for sharing, and when its a CC its an added bonus.

    It's quite impressive in person.
I've been tempted to crack & dip ever since I bought it... I bet it would GLOW if done properly.
Maybe someday if I decide to sell it, for now I like it just the way it is.

Same dates, same denominations, same holders, same grades. I just wish the serial numbers were one digit apart.
