This is fascinating stuff, his true rookie card is the Sports Illustrated for Kids card, similar to the Tiger Woods rookie card, these cards are very difficult to obtain in high grade due to the card having to be taken out of a magazine. This card is hot right now!

I remember the Tiger card very well. I think i can remember a short news report about a guy who found one of the magazines and was trying to remove the card and have it grade a 10.

Fascinating stuff, it's incredibly difficult to remove those cards from the sheets without damaging the card in some way, I marvel at people that can remove them and get high grades, it's a difficult riddle to figure out. I'll be interested to see if anyone can get a 10 with the Wembanyama rookie card, none so far, and only four 9's.

Interestly enough, I actually have a bid on a basketball card right now on ebay, it's a Wilt Chamberlain card, I love the image of Wilt on this card because he looks creepy, he reminds me of the ventriloquist doll from Twilight Zone.

They're not selling for anywhere near that, some of these sellers are insane to think anyone is going to pay that much.

I'm a big fan of SIFK cards too, that is until you're having a nervous breakdown trying to cleanly remove a card from a sheet. I ripped the 1992 Mj on the right from a sheet and was happy with getting back an *.

Just buying the magazines/sheets online can also be a huge PITA because just the tiniest crease or bend in the card kills the grade before you've even removed it from the other 8 cards. Many sellers of these magazines
don't seem to realize this.

Also that Wemby BGS 8.5 isn't a Pop one of one, this guy also has one.

SIFK dimes are very difficult to come by, for reasons put forth in this thread already.

years ago I bought a 2015 Jordan Spieth 10 (pop 3) for 1500$. a few years later i sold it for 5500$. i just checked the pop report and there are still only 3 dimes to this day (out of 241 graded).

they can be very solid investment pieces

Here it is, I was going to buy this card but someone got to it first, I love the eerie image of Larry Bird, it reminds me of one of those creepy medieval paintings. I'm a big fan of haunted houses, horror movies and creepy stuff.
