Wembanyama RC - worthy of crossover attempt?
Hope this isn't the wrong place to post this, but couldn't find anywhere that seemed like the place for this.
If this is the wrong place for this, please let me know.
My question is, does this BGS 8.5 seem like it could be worth trying for a crossover to PSA 9?
There are no BGS 9's, and there are only 4 of these 8.5s. This one I have might be the best centering I've seen, but I don't know if these edges would prevent a PSA 9.

I'd first look for any creasing or slight bends that SIFK cards are notorious for and if the card ir really worth of that 9.5 on surface, you may have a better chance of getting the same or higher grade if you cracked it. Attempting to cross while in the BGS slab has for the most part been difficult to do for most collectors.
If you're ok with a PSA 8, you could always try a crossover with a minimum grade of 8. Either way good luck, thats a good looking Wemby rook!

I am almost certain that PSA would grade this MIN SIZE,....I have submitted a dozen of these, and several have come back Min Size..be very careful... would love to hear what they say if you do try to cross it...

A PSA 9 is out of the question.... A PSA 7 is a strong possibility with those left and bottom edges!

Personally, I would just appreciate it in the BGS holder. I imagine with SI for Kids it is dependent on the card and how deep the perforation is, where it is located on the sheet, etc. But I wouldn't look at it from the angle that because its newer it should be getting the same type of grades a pack fresh Panini Prizm card does. Think these are just very tough to extract in Mint or Gem Mint whether its 20 years old or just came off the shelf. I had some sheets that were in perfect shape and after I was done with all my process of clamping most of the sheet down tight in a book and attempting to delicately and gently fold it until it could be separated I got a bunch of 6s and one 8. And I may have got the generous grader on the 8 throwing me a bone. Would not want to crack that out and try again. I think that scuff extra paper or whathaveyou on the upper left edge would cause PSA to grade it harshly or at least worse than an 8.5. I think a nice approach would be to just say I have a nice card and not want for more. It is a nice card and can be appreciated in that holder.

OK, thanks, @RufussCkingston and @UlyssesExtravaganza .
Yeah, the part on the left border is extra paper, but I think you guys are right. There's a reason there are none higher than 8.5, and I will just leave it how it is.
I appreciate it

I agree, leave it in that holder.
BTW, anyone notice fishy things going on with the "sale" price of the PSA 9 cert 74661997 ? The auction ran to completion on that one 4 times recently from the same seller, with some interesting common bidding patterns for each run-through:

Bid it up with other accounts. After auction ends cancel sale. Will still show up as sold but no fees given cancelled.
The ploy is to have have one legit bidder (in this case a mark) jump in at some point...
I'm sure others more devious than I can add granularity....

No, @miwlvrn , I didn't notice. What is it you think might be happening, shill bidding, or something like that?

Not just the end result but also the bids leading up to completion
What's funny is those prices were before playing a preseason game.. In theory, now that he is balling, price should be double!
