Does this OGH Morgan Dollar Have A Chance To Upgrade To Cameo/PL?

This coin is currently for sale and does it have a reasonable chance to upgrade to cameo Pl or MS 67? Any views on the potential possibility.

That coin looks like an Auctionkings image.
If it's not and the coin looks like that then it's a beauty.

No, because unless there’s been a very recent, unannounced change, PCGS doesn’t use the “Cameo” designation for business strikes.

Additionally, unless you’re familiar with a given seller, it’s ill-advised to rely upon images too heavily. In this particular case, even the image doesn’t give the appearance of a higher grade for the coin. Look at the cheek, hair and cap.

If you're going for PL ensure all the fields on OBV/REV are PL including the area around the date. They are stricter now that in the past for this designation.

Agree with the cheek, hair and cap. I have the same coin that looks much better but would be surprised if it graded 65 Reverse looks almost as good as this coin.

    Pictures looked juiced...hard pass.

Fair warning about AuctionKings. I tried them early on in my collecting and learned fast that their images are doctored. So buyer beware they are very good at photoshopping. You won't get a coin that looks like that.
Plenty of youtube videos warning about this seller also.

Okay thank you I will avoid their coins unless they are from other auction houses. How come they are selling so many coins at strong prices, are they using shill bidders?

If the coin really looked like the photos somebody would have cracked or regraded it already.

Possibly shill bidders, more likely uninformed or novice buyers.

As others have said images are suspect. Contrast looks very boosted in those photos, but who knows.

Here is an actual image of the coin. Far from good, but better than the EBay pics. I took it from the set registry gallery of the set it was in.

Thanks Flying Al for your detective work. Looks quite toned down from their photos

    That image appears heavily manipulated.

I think the frost breaks on the neck and the cheek preclude it from either designation.

PCGS doesn't use the "Cameo" designation for business strike Morgan Dollars. And frost breaks don't disqualify them from the PL designation. In fact, some PL's don't exhibit any appreciable frost.
