Milk Spots

If this has been discussed before I apologize. Is the US Mint the only mint to have problems with milk spots, or have other world mints had problems also?

Canadian silver mapleleaf coins have this same problem.

As others have noted, The Royal Canadian Mint also had this problem with the SML.

They introduced a 'fix' back in 2018 called "Mintshield". Not something that I buy, so I cannot provide any first-hand accounts of impact.

Edited to add: "as others have noted".

older silver maples were the worst. not a problem if buying for bullion only. Actually sometimes a discount for what is still a pure oz of silver.

AT. It was caused by the mint not cleaning the blanks. Nice. Now onward with the AT NT discussion🤠
