Unusual SAC Dollar

I picked up an apparent 2010P in a coin roll. Cannot see any edge lettering but a web page labeled it 2010
The strange thing about this Native American (Naudenosaunee) specimen is the edge looks like two different metals. The observe looks more like nickel and the reverse looks more like the normal gold (but dull) tone.

Always supply a clear photo of both sides and in this case, the edge when
making inquires. This way we are not guessing.

Sorry guys. My 20 year old PC is on the blink It won't upload pics unless I post them elsewhere on the web. It would not let me change a file extension to jpg. You can't see anything with magnification about the edges. The observe is a dull nickel color.

Toning on Sacs can range from golden to silvery.

If you see three layers on the edge then it's not missing a layer. (The layers will not appear equal in thickness on the edge - one may appear to be extremely thin).

Some of the edge lettering on these is extremely light. Check all the way around.

Last but not least, minimize any handling of the coin. The alloy tarnished very easily.

Thanks much. I know it is not worth much but is interesting

Got an IPhone? If so, use the camera on it.

The strong difference in metals (obverse, reverse) you stated in the OP, is not really apparent in the pictures. Cheers, RickO

Looks like a perfectly normal coin to me

I figured it out, it seems that you are talking about the edge of the coin. The edge should normally be 2 colors, as it is a clad coin. If it has nothing on the edge then please upload a clear photo of it.

It’s ok if it takes a few tries. :)
