Weird reeded edge profile on 1965 Quarter….

Subject coin on top. Others are only for profile comparison. There seem to be a “groove in middle profile“. 
Both surfaces of the coin looks funny, etch, blasted, off metal? I did weigh it just for reference.
I also weighed other coins just for reference…..

Your coin has been immersed in acid. The pure copper core erodes faster than the alloy cladding.

Yep.... Acid etch... That is what makes the obverse/reverse look dark/worn as shown also. Cheers, RickO
