It is hard to get PL on these.

It is PL, I would say 66+ but I did not know they do PL designations on these.

That would be my guess, nice score 👍

Certainly seems to have the reflectivity.... Good luck and let us know. Cheers, RickO

    I would think so.

Denver quarters quite often appear PL, almost as if they are chrome plated. Sent a bunch in two years ago. No PL. :'(

None listed on pcgs guide. Good luck it’s mighty reflective. Although they seem to be producing PL looking coins lately. Explore and discover set produced some PL’s

I think it has a shot. Here are the hits and misses (including a 98 D) from my last order if it helps.

    NO PL FOR YOU!

    PL :)

That's the most remarkably PL '73 dime I've ever seen. Perhaps the reverse wasn't strong enough for them.

Almost all moderns appear as PL's but many dates don't come very strong.

The mint made numerous different types of coins for the mint sets. It looks like they just had fun with them.

I think it takes more than reflectivity, I think they also look for contrast. Would be nice to get more clarity on this. Sent this one in and was denied PL but at least got upgrade from 67 to 67+:

I believe it is more about the reflectivity however that doesn’t come to mind when viewing the 1964 PL nickel. Maybe there’s a different precedent for moderns.

I’ve yet to study the differences between the 98 nonPL dime and the others that did get the des. And of course as stated in the PCGS video, too much cloudiness or haze and the coin will not pass.

Here’s a cell pic of the 65+ that highlights the reflectivity. If you can see any trace of a typical business strike luster in the fields you’re out.

Probably more critical is the depth of the mirrors. Here the mirrors look shallow anywhere the fields show white reflection/cartwheel luster when viewed straight on.
Viewed straight on the fields should look bottomless.

That one looks PL to me.
