    Great coin. Do you know that this Brut was relative of Brut Old who participated in the exile of the Roman king in antiquity? He knew it and everybody knew and waited something for him. And he did. But it was another Rome...

    I watched the full auction it had some great coins. It sold for 720 000$ all-in.

    So what? It’s unaffordable, unless your net worth is the high eight figures.

    Sorry, but I am really really PO’d with auctions this week. Plus there was recently a high net worth individual who got screwed after buying one of these things in gold quite recently.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    It did not cost me anything to enjoy holding it in my hands for about 5 minutes. It had great eye appeal for a circulated coin, especially the reverse.
