The smooth pattern on both sides suggests PMD.

The reverse MM D is inverted with a weak strike.
looking at the spelling of DIME, the letter A comes into view beside the E. and more.
...Error ?

    Nothing on that dime is an error, it is all PMD

    I’ve seen a similar look on coins that got caught in a clothes dryer in between the rotating basket and the non moving part
