1830 Coronet Large Cent Newcomb Variety?
I was informed that this might be a rare Newcomb variety. Can someone help me attribute it? Where can I go or what book do I need to help attribute Newcomb varieties myself in the future? Thank you!

It does appear to be the rarest die marriage of the year. 1830 N-9, R.6. Nice find! Value likely $1,500 or so.
As for the book of choice for this series, you must have The Cent Book, 1816-1839 by John D. Wright. I am still using my original, signed copy I acquired from the author in the late 90s. It is one of the better reference books written, imho. Nicely arranged with good photos and great attribution information.

Agree with N-9. Congrats! PCGS will probably details grade it because of the graffiti on the neck, but it's still a huge coin. The Cent Book is actually on the Newman Numismatic Portal. Other online resources for attributing these includes NGC's VarietyPlus page and the catalog from the Dan Holmes sale, Part II.
