Newbie here.
My grandparents own to drive in in the 50s, and also collected wheat pennies, so give this to say I've got a ton of weeks that I'm sorting through.
I'm 99.9% sure this is not a 1917 DDO.
I know how rare that is and I doubt that this is one, but I wanted to have someone else take a look.
Thanks for any information. As it's worn I've done the standard look for indicators and I see some markers that could be but once again I'm not thinking it is, I want someone else to verify that.
ThanksDB Ryan

It's hard to tell from your pics, but it doesn't look like the DDO to me. I think the extra thickness you're seeing in the lettering and numbers in the date was caused by general circulation wear, rather than the doubling of those features.

Welcome to the forum!
I'm not seeing it as a DDO.
Check the photos here.

Your coin has circulation on the date that could cause some confusion, look at the R in Trust.

It should match exactly and it is close enough to the rim to protect it from circulation damage.
Okay you both been very helpful in answering my question another one here I have a 1916d but it's very very dark brown in color doesn't look rusted or corroded, why the darkness? I don't have anything else that looks like that please see the attached pictures.

Sometimes really dark or black coins have been in a fire.
Hard to say exactly what happened to your coin because we were not there when it happened.
@dbrookeryan... Welcome aboard. Your first cent is not a DDO...just wear making the letters and numbers look fat. The second cent is dark due to environmental damage... heavy tarnish due to time in dirt or other surroundings. I have seen cents that dark that I have found in fields. Cheers, RickO
