Does this position/location for the D mint mark look correct? I know the D mint mark can be a little off for the year but can it be that close to Lincoln's lapel?

Thank you for the valued info and confirming. It just looked closer than usual and closer than my MS-64 RD.

You’re welcome!
I was just passing it on. I can’t take credit for the composition. It was posted by another forum member not long ago after a similar question was made. I did a quick copy and paste.

Good question.
I thought there were 6 different MM locations for 1914-D's but if it's number 5 then who cares about 6?

Those various MM positions for 1914-D pennies are pretty durn close to each other. The mint employee who stamped the 'D' on those dies was a stickler for precision.
