    Hello, everyone.

    I responded to the post "Do You Collect Half Dimes" but I didn't realize that my "copy/post" efforts from my Heritage Coin Inventory made it on here. I apologize for not deleting the unnecessary details that Heritate includes in their online inventory option that I use. I am editing now. Anyway, here is the edited version of my half-dime section in my U.S. type set. I see that I neglected to include an LM number for the 1795 so when I have a chance to hit the bank, I'll see if I can figure it out (again) and notate the number. I guess I got too excited about the R-6 part! :p

    Nice '49/6. When I saw you posted it I immediately recognized the similar toning I have on my '48 medium date, turns out they are likely from the same former set, three serial numbers apart. This coin looks quite good in hand.

    I agree with @Mr_Spud - the V-1 high date overlaps the base (see above).

    1854 Philadelphia is probably the most difficult seated half dime date to attribute by die pair.
    All the obverses except the V-1 have the same date and arrows position, as they were on the hub.
    And there is no mint mark position.
    Many of the 1854 coins are clashed, but the clash positions are somewhat similar, and the mintage is fairly high.
    I have identified about 17 die pairs so far.
