I suspect machine doubling - worst case I've seen yet - but I wish someone would tell me otherwise

As the title says, I think this is machine doubling, but I'd like to be sure before I break down and cry. It looks so doubled, but I think too flat and shelf-like to be any good. But it sure is obvious something is different. I've not seen anything quite like this one.

DDs aren't random. They are an anomaly in the die. Are there known DDs on the date/mm of your coin? (You didn't tell us the date/mm).

I search half dollar boxes weekly, and I see this a LOT. This is machine doubling.

Sorry JBK, you're right, I neglected the date info. This is a 1967 Kennedy, and yes there is a listed DDR for that year. I do always check PCGS, Cherry Picker's Guide and Variety Vista for these things which is why I was fairly certain this was MD.

You'll find that on quarters a lot in the same place if you look for it. Like everyone said, it's just strike-doubling.
