At first I thought it was just a parking lot type coin...
Always willing to put myself out there to learn...Struggling with this one.
I'm not seeing upturned metal from gouging in that very ragged damaged area that goes through the coin.
Appears to be more internally "broken" than PMD.
Coins are Neato!

Definitely PMD... and I do see displaced metal (in part) around gouges. Cheers, RickO

The 2004p Peace Medal Jefferson's have a ddo variety. The date and/or mint mark, doubling.
