I finally found a peace dollar for the type set that I like!
Also cool being a 1923, 100 years old now…

I like that coin a lot. It has really nice creamy, frosty luster, great detail, and a clean cheek. This coin would look really good in a 66+ holder, but I like it even more in an OGH with CAC. It would be hard to do better for a representative of type.

Not much to dislike about her! She's taking on nice toning, too.

I put her at even money to upgrade, but then I'd never take her out of that holder, not a chance.

Where are you seeing toning? It looks blast white to me, but it might just be my interpretation of the photos.....?

I do see what looks like a bit of toning under "DOLLAR" and across the eagle's rock on the reverse.

There is indeed slight toning on the reverse: top and bottom:

very slight, just enough to show it’s not dipped, but still @ricko approved, possibly would get his sticker….

@asheland.... That is indeed a lovely Peace Dollar.... However, that yellow tarnish might preclude the BW sticker..... I know you can get one... Probably have a blast white Peace dollar in your coin cabinet. Cheers, RickO

That kind of toning is perfectly acceptable on Peace dollars (to me, anyhow) and quite appropriate to the overall history of the coin.

It came from a dealer, that collection was sold I’m thinking in Texas? And that dealer sells stuff to the shop I work at… What a small world.!

Very nice, smooth looking peace! A few die clash marks that are standard for the series.
The ogh holder looks pristine also.

It came in a small collection, a few PL and DMPL Morgans, etc. a fun group.

This is the only piece that I got though. Gotta restrain myself.
